We are a family of five that first of all
loves the Lord
and second loves all the wondrous creatures
God has made. (Well may be not spiders so much).

Nile and Deborah are married and have three
lovely daughters ranging in age from 12 years old
down to 6 years old.

Raising three girls would keep most people plenty busy, but
these parents find a way to make time for loads of other stuff.

Nile is the worship director of two different churches.
He sings, plays guitar and pretty much any other instrument he picks
up. He also recently returned to school at California Baptist
University for a behavioral science degree. All of that is when
he is not being Dad to the three girls and helping with loving and
cuddling bunnies and dogs and cats as well as all heavy
"Dad type" cleaning chores.

Deborah's first love is her family
and her second love is her pets.

She works hard with the rabbits - grooming, cleaning and then
gets the rewards of cuddling and petting. She has worked as
a registered nurse for fifteen years in Neonatal Intensive
Care Units (NICU).

Three years ago Deborah started teaching nursing.
In the last few years she finished her Masters in Nursing (MSN)
and am now an assistant professor at California Baptist University
in their nursing program.

As if she was not busy enough, she was recently began a Doctorate of Education Program at Regent University. She has found she loves teaching
as she enjoys her students very much.
She feels teaching gives her a wonderful chance to encourage people
with God's Words. When she has the spare time, her other
favorite activity is gardening.

The three girls share their parents love of the Lord
and animals as well. They enjoy playing with the
bunnies and going to shows. They spend a lot of
time cuddling babies and helping care for them.
Even the youngest who is only 6 years old
helps clean the cages!

This helps to assure that the rabbits raised here
have stable and outgoing personalities. It can truly
be said that at
Carter's Critters
"bunnies are a family affair."

The Carter girls are always busy just like their parents. They
enjoy school and are find time for many school activities
besides the time they spend with church and youth group.
One outside activity that gives them a lot of satisfaction is
horseback riding lessons. (Besides it lets them be around
another of God's wonderful critters)
Mr. Bobby of Foxcroft Farms is such a wonderful
teacher and trainer.

In addition to the family's
Holland Lops, Lionheads and Netherland Dwarfs -
the Carter family shares its home
and hearts with two dogs.
Both are of the jumbo variety,
a 165 pound
Great Pyrenees named Artie
and an almost as large
Burnese Mountain Dog named Heide.

A kitten recently decided the Carter household looked like
the perfect place to live and
so Hope decided to join
the family. Since at the Carter's
all of God's critters are welcome
(except the spiders) it looks like they now have
another member of the troop.
Carter's Critters is a home where Psalm 104:24 truly comes to life.
"How many are your works, O LORD! In wisdom you
made them all; the earth is full of your creatures."
